Privacy Policy
In short: the extension has no servers, no analytics and no tracking. Everything it stores stays in your browser. It talks only to Google (because it works in your own Google Search Console session) and to websites you explicitly ask it to read.
What the extension does
Index Queue for Google Search Console (“the extension”) helps you request indexing for your own web pages in Google Search Console. It keeps a queue of URLs and, inside your signed-in Search Console session, runs URL Inspection and clicks “Request indexing” within Search Console’s daily limits. It also shows the index status of pages on your own Search Console properties and produces reports.
Information the extension handles
- URLs you add to the queue (typed, pasted, uploaded, imported from a sitemap or added from the right-click menu).
- Search Console page content. On
search.google.com/search-consolethe extension reads the URL Inspection results (for example “URL is on Google”, the coverage reason, last crawl date and canonical) and the result of “Request indexing”. - Your Google account email address as shown in Search Console’s account menu, and its account slot (u/0, u/1, …). This is used only to remember which of your signed-in accounts owns each property.
- The address of the active tab. It is compared, on your device, with your list of Search Console properties so the toolbar icon can show whether that page is indexed. Addresses of other sites are ignored and not stored. If automatic checks are on (Settings → Current page status), the address of a page on one of your own properties is looked up in your Google Search Console account, the same way as if you inspected it yourself. You can turn this off.
- Websites you choose to read (optional). When you import a sitemap or run the on-page audit, the extension downloads those pages directly from your browser, after asking for permission for those sites.
- Search Console API (optional, read-only). If you connect it with your own Google Cloud OAuth client, a short-lived access token is kept in session memory and used only to call the read-only URL Inspection and Sites APIs.
Where the information is stored
All data (queue, history, reports, index statuses, properties, settings, account slots) is stored locally with chrome.storage in your browser profile. It is not sent to the developer or to any third party. You can export it, delete parts of it (Settings → Data & backup) or remove everything by uninstalling the extension.
Sharing
The developer does not collect, sell, rent or share your data. Requests leave your browser only to:
- Google Search Console (
search.google.com), using your existing Google session, to inspect URLs and request indexing; - Google APIs (
searchconsole.googleapis.com,accounts.google.com), only if you connect the optional read-only API; - the websites you explicitly ask it to read (sitemaps and on-page audits).
Google API data
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the features described above, is never transferred to others, and is never used for advertising.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them.
Children
The extension is a tool for website owners and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
